I mean it goes against mormon doctrine, any activity not approved of by the church especially homosexual activity can and often does lead to excommunication and if you live in utah often leads to being kicked out of your home and sent to live on the street.

yeah but my point was the church is not without its huge faults and as for why it draws so much hatred from those whom leave it. I mean I understand that the lds church does a lot of good charaty work. But they still do alot of things to the lgbt community that deserves repremend, perhaps when I called them a cult I was over reacting, but they do deserve alot of the judgement they get due to the fact they judge others and try to manipulate laws running campaigns then denie wrong doings. They are responsible for prop 8 in california for gaining popularity by making a deceptive ad campaign that out right lied bout what it was about. So yes I know alot more about the church then you think.
