Annie's uncle and, along with her mother, the one who currently runs the family business and takes care of the family estate.

Youngest of the McCormick brothers, Richard always saw his older brother Julian as some sort of hero and role model, and decided to take the same path as he did-to help others whenever, wherever needed. When Annie was born, Richard immediately assigned himself as her guardian, watching over her and, as she grew older, two became inseparable. When Julian died, Richard had sworn that he will find his murderer and end his life the same way his brother's did. As soon as he graduated, he decided to help his sister in law to run the business and look after the family. Worrying that the one who killed his brother was probably hired by someone within the family and that the murderer may be after Annie as well, he decided it would be better if her origins are kept secret from others, when she was preparing to sign in to the academy. When she signed in, he provided her with all the things she needed, and on occasions would visit her.
Richard was always known as a gentlemon towards ladies, making sure they feel comfortable and safe with him around. Despite his pride and noble origins, one would look at him as just any regular citizen. He would rarely wear fancy outfits, never talked about his origins or threw money around.
During one of his visits to his niece, he was introduced to certain Roserade, named Demeter Blackrose, and made friends with her. Two would often be seen together, and after he found out about her situation and that she has a daughter, he decided to try and help her out in any way possible.
In battle, Richard combines his wits with the strength he posesses, not allowing his opponent to take a slightest break or to run away. When using his blades, those who knew his brother always say how much he reminds them of Julian, since he was the one who taught Richard all he knew before he was killed. He doesnt stop until breaking through opponent's defense, then adds the finishing blow when realizing he has the chance to do so.
He respects all of his opponents as long as they fight fair and square.
