Barker's Champion Workout - Reflexes and Speed
Brittney: "Now, you didn't think I got by in the ring with just muscle alone, did you? Muscle building might be important, but if your body's too bulky, it makes movement hard. If you want to make it in the ring, sometime you gotta put down the heavy weights, and make sure that you can train your reflexes and speed. Best way to do that is with a good run. After a good session of strength training, I always like to get in a good run on the track. I'm quick on my feet for a reason.
"If your local gym doesn't have a track, just do it another way. Either find somewhere else to run laps, or pick somewhere to run to. You can do it normal, or with ankle weights to build up yours legs. Actually, that's interesting to note. Do a few runs with weighted ankles, increase the weight if you feel comfortable, and then, do a run without them. See how fast you get. Throw in a few punches with either weighted gloves or arm bands, to improve your punching speed at the same time.
"If you're training just to lose weight, I'd suggest putting on some sweats before this. That'll burn some calories. That's all I got time for now. See ya."
