Ichtaca Coaxoch (translates to Secret Flower Serpent) was found by Shuya entirely on accident when she was uncovered by the workers digging up the ground to lay the foundation for the temple of Bahamut/ martial school/orphanage that Shuya was having built broke into an underground long lost dungeon that thankfully only had one surviving resident being the semi-immortal Coatl.
She explained that in ancient times she served as a protector to the island they resided when the population where in the tribal stage of society when an earthquake trapped her one day while in her lair. After explaining this she immediately began to devour as much food and water as she could before passing out. (turns out semi-immortality doesn't prevent hunger and thirst)
After some care and kindness she's returned to a healthy body and beautiful plumage choosing to once again help the population of the island, deciding to take up residence in a addition added to the highest area in the temple since she has sworn off ever going below ground again. The children like to refer to her as rainbow grandma much to her chagrin.
