"I weep for the Innocent harmed by sins of the Wicked and to the Wicked who commit those Sins I will reap."
Grymkin Manual PG 26, The Weeping Reaper's call.
A drunken mariner stumbles out of the tavern called the Sailor's Drift within the small port city of Ordran. He gives a heavy cough and soon takes another swig from the green colored bottle. He takes a slight stumble down the cobble stone steps into the street. As he gets his baring, he is slammed to the side by another man who runs past him at full speed. He looks at him as he charges about to yell at him but chooses to shrug and say, "Damn bastard is running as if the Grymkin are after him." He takes another drink not knowing how right he was becoming.
"Beware the mask with glowing purple eyes. They see your sins that you can't deny."
Winter Guard Report of the Murder of the Alchemist Ivan Strogney. Found written in blood in his home in Kador. Body found three blocks away.
His name is Randolph De'Bon. He is the second son to the Red Powder trader Sophie De'Bon. A well known trader of the Specialized Gunpower. He sweats as his feet seem to echo threw the streets of the town darting back and forth to different buildings. He would look behind him only to run into a waste bin and fall to the ground. Looking to the sky, the once clear night sky began to darken and a light rain began to fall. He got to his feet as quickly as he could and ran as fast as his feet can take him.
"To the Wicked sinner I say. When Innocent's tears fall form the sky, you know that you will soon die."
Grimkin Manual Pg 26, The Weeping Reaper.
He would look behind him one more time and see the glow of purple in down the ally. A flash would be seen as a long metal blade moves, it gently scratches the stones making small sparks fly. He screams in terror slamming into a door and into a butcher shop. The sound would wake the Butcher Trollkin who comes down and see the man pancaked with fear in his eyes. Before he could yell or speak, Randolph dashed for the front door and out of it. The butcher would follow yelling that he will call the guards before giving a sigh. He would hear a caw from above. A crow sits on his sign and he grumbles as he walks back inside. "Did that bird have Purple Eyes?" He thinks to himself before going to check on the doors.
"Black wings in the sky. His flock follows him and acts as his eyes. Hear the caw within the night, for they will surly give your fright."
Grimkin Manual PG 27, The Weeping Reaper.
He would soon grasp his chest and breath heavy. The running has taken its toll on the man normally use to a life of pleasure with his trade. He could buy and do as he pleases and not worry about the little things that may happen. "So what if I didn't check the lantern. Its not my fault it fell over and hit the powder. Its not my fault those morons got killed." He says to himself in anger. "What the Hell do you want!?" He screams in the sky. Six crows are perched nearby and make noise at him over and over. He sees the faces of the workers caught in the blast and of several people that were nearby. In a fit of anger he pulls his pistol form his side and shoots at the crows who scatter before his pistol clicks. "Well what!?" he screams again. There is nothing but silence. He looks around, the rain has stopped. "I knew you would not win. I knew-." Coldness takes over. He didn't even feel it. The metal blade of the scythe sticks out of his chest and drips blood. It's Grim magic keeps him alive for one last time. He can feel the Reaper behind him and gently leans to his ear. "What we want is for you to suffer your punishment." These were the last words he would hear as he would see himself fall into the wilds of the Afterlife only to be hunted by his sins. The Weeping Reaper would remove his scythe and run his finger in the blood on the street and with his other hand open his Grimtome. The name Randolph De'Bon glows in an unnatural purple with the words written under it "Sin of Wrath and Murder." A swipe of his bloody finger along the name and soon the glow ends. "Hunt completed. The Wicked has been judged." The next morning, De'Bon's body is found and the Guards look at it. The local coroner says he died from only a quick blow from a long blade but can't say much else.
