Yeah, it can easily been seen as a bit of a right-wing gag this one, and everyone's free to interpret it how they like, but from the title, I'm mainly having a go at the 'sea kittens' lunatics.

Neither am I. But I'm of the opinion that any good satirist has to accept the foibles within their own sphere as well, for there is more than one status quo and none are ever quite as clear-cut as they may appear.

Well I'm English; people assume Avery is based on me - and to an extent, he is, he's a vent-surrogate representing shit I've gone through in the last number of years, in a different form (the key to writing is 'write what you know') - but Avery himself is American, with different difficulties to face.
