No, not the cellulose sponges you buy at the supermarket. The right kind of foam is found at most fabric and crafts stores like Joann's and is much more dense and firm than a kitchen sponge. I would recommend looking up one of the many tutorials on the Internet about fursuit making to get started with the basics. Good luck!
