New girl! She's a dreugh from the Elder Scrolls universe.

Originally, she was captured by a Maormer (sea elf) pirate ship, and while captured, the captain of said ship found himself fascinated with her, and she in turn with him. When she escaped, she in return captured the captain and dragged him down back into the ocean, where he and the crew where sure he would die.

But instead, she took him to her lair under the water, in a pocket of air within a cave. He was kept prisoner here. Over time, they grew to understand each other more, coming from very different societies and having very different biology. They even began to learn each other's languages, almost. They grew close. Eventually, the dreugh realised what she was doing was wrong, and she was sure the captain did not truly love her; he was her captive, after all. So, she took him back to his ship.

The captain was, of course, delighted, but quickly distraught when he saw her leap back into the water to leave. He sought her down, and they reunited, the dreugh realising that their love was real after all. So, under the magical disguise of a Maormer form, she joined their pirate crew.

They were happy for some years. Unfortunately, being a pirate is a dangerous job, and the captain lost his life. Unable to bear being on the ship without him, the dreugh took a new disguise of an ambiguous race and took to exploring Tamriel.
