Bio: Solana is a quirky, strong willed shiny Mesprit, always keeping fit and training her psychic skills. She can be competitive and can be a pretty sore loser. She’s a tough cookie though- she will always stand up for herself of her friends.

Solana usually appears quite calm and collected most of the time, but always has a very serious aura to her words. Sometimes she responds to others very minimally if she’s not too friendly with them. She gets annoyed easily and will raise her voice or whisper snarky comments behind your back. Get on her nerves even more and she whips out the fire punch-

Solana’s emotions are a little unstable at times as well. She can snap from being happy to angry or sad abruptly.

She prefers more one-to-one connections and prefers to stay away from big groups. The connections she does hold mean a lot to her, and she cares for her friends... but that’s not even half of the group.

Solana has a sort of... obsession with her own species. She has rarely seen other lakesprits during her time; minus a few exceptions- and ponders if she has any Azelf and Uxie siblings. Upon reaching Luani Island however- she would meet a few. Solea- a Uxie, and Clarisse- a Mesprit. She has an interesting relationship with Clarisse- who helped Solana to discover her true self- a lesbian.

Despite living with Lar and travelling with him for so long, she was never certain how she truly felt about him. Sadly Lar doesn’t know what’s going on behind the scenes. She cares for him, but only as a friend.

Her blue marble heart necklace was given to her by Lar, after she gave her ruby fragment away to a group who was searching for them. She also met a Uxie at this time... feeling a strange connection with him. Alas she stays behind and would only later leave Luani Island in search for her siblings, leaving a letter to Lar and the necklace behind.

Story: Solana lived on a small island for most of her life, too afraid to venture over the seas. She’d life a painfully quiet yet relaxing life with a few other mons, playing in the coral reefs, and collecting things that washed ashore- one being the pretty ruby necklace.

She’d never expect the next discovery on the shore would be a Mesprit, one of her own kind. The two got on really well and called each other sisters, vowing to always be there for each other. With that, the two travelled all the way back to Sinnoh, to return the Mesprit home, back to Lake Verity.

Once reaching Lake Verity, the Mesprit decided to let Solana live with her, until she needed to leave, or even find a home for herself. The two lived together for many years, and Solana even got to meet an Azelf and Uxie from the other two lakes of Sinnoh- which started her wondering if she had siblings of her own.

As time went on, a mysterious ring portal appeared in Lake Verity's cave, and remained there, never vanishing. Solana and Mesprit found nothing on the other side of the portal but a vast, thin lake, reaching out to the skies. Solana studied the portal and eventually learned how to change its destination with her powers.

Upon one day where the portal threw Solana into hoenn- she’d meet Lar, Crescere and another, who helped her get back to Sinnoh. Forming bonds and memories, she decided to stay with the group, and bid farewell to her lakesprit friend. Solana even helped to seal a monster from wreaking havoc thanks to her ruby necklace. This event may have played out differently in another universe-

Later in life after Solana had settled in Sonnige city, she would meet a mysterious Victini in search of the Ruby Fragments. The Victini tried to steal her Ruby Necklace many times until she confronted him. After a talk over some coffee, she would follow him into the forests of Luani and meet with his small group of ‘Ruby holders’.

What she found shocked her. A jirachi, a very small and angry Diancie, and a Uxie.
She felt a strange connection to him. After more explaining and seeing the other fragments, she was offered to join them on their journey.

Anyone would jump at the chance, right? Your supposed long-lost sibling?
Yet Solana declined, but not without offering her Ruby piece to them.
The group would soon leave but tell Solana if she were to change her mind, she’d be welcomed with open arms. Given a golden sun medallion by the Jirachi as a trinket to link them,

Lar- sneaking and curiously watching what was happening from the bushes saw the whole thing.
Lar and Solana never talked about this situation. They kept it a secret to each other.
Whether it was of uncertainty or something personal was unknown.

A few months later, Solana would pack up her things and leave to find the Ruby holders, leaving a letter behind for Lar to explain everything. Even when they had each other’s phone numbers, they didn’t really keep contact.

The Jirachi however would return to Luani Island occasionally later down the line, and Lar would talk to her.

Solana’s sudden departure was one of the many reasons Lar would later leave Sonnige as well.

Relationships:

. Mesprit of Lake Verity - The first of her kind she met. They treat each other like long-lost sisters. Solana misses her and wishes to see her again.

. Lar - Lar has always been a best friend to her. They live together in a cosy house in Sonnige City. While not in a relationship, before Solana discovered she was a lesbian, she wondered if Lar would like her that way, or why she never felt that way towards him.

. Crescere - This Gliscor was part of Lar’s travel team, so Solana knows her as much as she knows Lar. They’re very close friends. A Darkrai was part of the team too who she grew close to, but he left on his own merits.

. Genevieve - Another travel buddy of Lar’s who came it later. While Gen is rather quiet and… intimidating, Gen got attached to Solana as the two had some quirky similarities.

. Bellaria - Her first friend she made in Sonnige City. Now that Crescere moved in with Bellaria, they have a natural connection, and Solana just really likes Bellaria.

Solea + Clarisse – A shiny Uxie and all pink Mesprit respectively. Basically they’re all girlfriends. Girls that are also friends. Solana hangs out with these two the most. Solana dated Clarisse too and helped Solana discover that she’s a lesbian.

. Mélanie - This sweet Gourgeist is just too precious not to love! Solana likes to be around her and is fully willing to protect her! Solana may have even had a crush on her without knowing!

. Chiyer - While Solana and Chiyer’s first interactions where quite chaotic and involved a lot of verbal fighting, the two later settled their differences… mostly. She likes his fiery personality as she finds it entertaining. He does like hers fiery personality as well, but also is impressed by how confident she is.

. Fwolo - One of the few male friends of Lar’s that she likes. She enjoys Fwolo’s works and talents, and likes to give him her opinions and constructive criticism to keep him on his toes. He actually hangs out with Solana and the other lakesprit girls a lot! It’s a rather cute friend group honestly. Solana also likes to help Fwolo decorate his home and bring him plants.

. Bayuki + Mekori – Solana isn’t really friends with Bayuki and seems to be the only one who notices how hard Bayuki is crushing on Lar. That being said, Bayuki’s mother is a beauty and a pleasant pokemon to talk too.

. Karina + Abby - A gaming Mawile who she got to know through Lar. While Solana isn’t a gamer, Karina is just fun to be around. Karina’s mother Abby loves to chat with Solana whenever she visits.

. Darkria – Solana pushes her away and ignores her lewd antics. Possibly the thought of Darkria having a part of Lar in her makes Solana feel uneasy.

. Oli & Giza – This Zweilous is actually quite intimidating to Solana. However the kinder head, Oli, likes her a lot and is as gentle as possible.

. Vanity – She’s decent friends with Vanity, a femboi Victini. They hangout on occasion, and she does think he’s very pretty.

. Rigel – The shiny Jirachi atop the mountain. Solana visits him often, and even more so later in her story. The two chat a lot about history and legendary pokemon. Solana feels that if Rigel was a girl, she’d totally date them.

. Alvita – A shiny Latias who also has a thing for Lar- Solana’s getting sick of all his fans. However Alvita’s love of exercise and healthy lifestyle does help the two bond. Still… Solana is always trying to change the topic when Alvita starts talking about Lar.

. Marieth / Grumpmin – A weird case where Solana befriended this shortstack Shaymin feeling sorry for her. But they do enjoy each other’s company.

. Kaelee – A Weavile who trains at the in-city dojo. She’s cool, sharp, and almost everything that Solana likes deep down. Solana and her spar occasionally.

. Sharna – This crazy Mawile was also part of Lar’s adventures as his rival. Solana didn’t get to see the rivalry side as much, but thinks Sharna is cool.

Biggest change is that she's a lesbian, it just felt more fitting to her and I liked the idea of her gradually realizing this.
