oh... yggdrasill is the character from the game Tales of Symphonia! i didn't know it was norse..Fenrir yes (hence my name!)
It would be ironic if you actually played the game and still chose to use that name!
actually now that i think about it, you also fight a character named Fenrir in the game! hes and ice wolf! (also with celsius)

although some of the characters from the series are in star ocean till the end of time!(really awesome game!)
what didn't you like about the game?

i started TOS not knowing how to play it...and for like a year it sat on my shelf collecting dust...then i just decided one day to whip it out and start playing..and before i knew it...I LOVED THE TOS!
(if it seems stereotypica..its because its an actual anime show! but i didn't think anything was stereotypical about it...maybe the facial expressions and things like that are related to anime..but hell..i thought the story was good!)
i was curious as to the battle system in VP...it looked different than most every other game..so i was skeptical to buy it..and i havn't heard much about it..
care to fill me in?

You should play more RPG/watch more anime to see what I mean. TOS is quite predictable, and the battle system is a mash-fest, something I don't like.
VP is unique - you can have up to four characters in battle, each representing the face buttons of the controller (X, O, Square and Triangle). You can combine attacks, but not button-mash, otherwise attacks will miss.

actually all i play are RPG games!
i tend to like games that have a real time feel to them..like kingdom hearts and FF XII was pretty good! SOTET was pretty good that way as well.
i dont watch all that much anime so i douldn't know about predictability, but again..the batter system of the game was different i felt..so i liked it! :D

Ah love the story and premise. This story reminds me a bit of Digimon, and has sort of this video game feel to it. I can't really explain it, the story itself sounds like some sort of plot from a PS2 game. And I'm starting to wonder if Oogami and Fenrir will be collecting Yggdrasil. Good story, keep on going. :)
Hm,I have a few likes and dislikes about it.
The constant references to dogs, both mythological or otherwise (Such as Garmir, Fenrir, the Ukami) is both imaginative, but tends to become overused rather quickly. I haven't read the rest of the story, but seeing other mythological creatures to add to the menagerie would be nice.
Also, you don't see many stories based off of Aesir Mythologies, so I have to give you brownie points for that.
I agree with the above poster that it feels like Digimon, or, in my case more like old-school Monster Rancher. Something you don't see often except in fan-based stories. This, however, has the potential to become a good stand-alone story.
Aside from the few grammatical errors here and there, it's a very good story.
I'll read the rest when it's not four in the morning. X3
