Always a great depth for quicksand pictures, as taught to us by the great Pete Boggs,... chest deep, arms stuck at her sides, simply marvelous. I love how the sand squeezes in around her trapped arms and bobbing chest, as the crater around her is looking more and more ominous. Yet around the crater the surface still has that deceptive dry look to it, accentuated beautifully by the leaves. Her expression truly makes this piece, that gritted teeth look, and her downward gaze, accentuated by the inflection of her eyebrows gives a seriously worried look to the lovely Chel as the seriousness of her situation becomes more and more apparent. Her raised shoulder gives the impression she is still squirming and struggling against the sucking grip of the sand pit. And of course her long black hair as spreads on the surface behind her, and drapes over the edge of the crater, a wonderful touch. Things may not be looking good for poor Chel, but I think this image is looking great. :D
