Idunn awaiting her poet...
Based on an absolutely horrible speed paint from March '18...i started to try to 'fix it a bit' about a week ago and it surprised me by getting better and better ... There was a picture there that wanted to come out and it dragged me through a dozen versions and changes right up to just now before posting it.
Alternate title is "Awaken" (referring to the piece by "Yes").
...i have no idea if she is a fox or a cat and she isn't giving me a clue ... listing her as a fox ....
There are some alternate versions i will later this week.

i've been using the next revised version of this as my desktop for about two years. A lot of my influences came together in an interesting balance - Roger Dean for the over-all composition, Bode/various-furry-artists for her design, a bit of Frazetta in how she's painted - the shadows etc, a bit of Mucha/Kaluta in the staff and ribbons, impressionist foreground, muted cool colours ... The style feels like a direction i would like to explore further - both mood and technique. So it's been a good desktop.
i'll post the very slightly revised version tomorrow - slight change on some mountains and ribbons.

It's a good idea to have some sort of positive visuals for ones desktop. The 'motivational' wallpaper I've seen is probably a recipe for a sick mind, but one's own work or particular triumphs are health. I have to wonder about these people with nothing in their galleries. If you never produce anything.
My desktop and scream saver are both ever-changing collections of my own photography. I'm getting a little tired of the same-old, same-old pictures, so I need to plunder my archives and see what I can find; I've been on Flickr for 16 years, so I just need to dedicate some time to prepping more photos.
Instead of looking at paintings of busty Vixens...

Idunn here is a vixen, but not particularly busty. Desktop art can have many functions.
my old desktop was a colour chart i made of 10,080 that i had made around '05 - each colour indexed for hue value and saturation. An educational chart. Used that as my usual desk top from '05 to '19. Changing to a pleasant painting that was a result of studying, such as Idunn, seemed to be shifting from theory to practice. A direction of painting i want to develop further.
