• Biography: Naomi is one of the many ½ mermaids born to Junichiro and Palutena and is the twin sister to Jolene, being born a minute after Jolene exited Palutena’s womb. As with many of her sisters, Naomi always enjoyed tales her father often brought home from when he wasn’t traveling. One tale spurred interest in her wanting to travel about, but at first, she opted to serve as a cleric, but was convinced by Jolene to instead be a fighter on horseback. In other words: A cavalier. Naomi was more than willing to accept this idea but had no idea where she’d obtain a horse to practice being a cavalier to start with. This changed one day after Jolene obtain her horse in the name of Secretariat. After Secretariat was calmed and reverted to a normal veggie loving horse, she went with her father to a popular stables that specialized in Pegasi and horses. Naomi selected a female horse and after verifying it was the correct and healthiest horse she wanted, adopted the female horse, but not before she christened it Epona. During her and Jolene’s training days, Epona wound up having a courtship with Jolene’s horse Epona, which put a halt to training on horseback with their own mounts for a few months, but by the time the foal, affectionately named Malon, was weaned and eating grass & veggies, Naomi proved to be capable enough to travel with her father and select sisters to the Fire Emblem universe. There, she and Jolene formed the classic red & green cavalier team with Jolene serving as the stronger, sturdier red, and Naomi serving as the leaner, faster green. The two even served as captains among the initial Gaia Army, leading a division consisting of cavalry. However, during the siege of Gaia Castle, their division, along with others, were wiped out and the survivors had no recourse but to retreat. Despite Naomi being shaken up, when the War of Light & Shadow began in earnest and with the formation of the Gaia Alliance, it was only natural that Naomi would join the Alliance to take part and help protect all that she held dear in this world, and her own. In contrast to the energetic Jolene, Naomi is rather laid back to the point she may space out and not be as alert to her surroundings (She once had no idea she was sinking in quicksand until she reached her breasts) but is nonetheless a clever girl and quite talented. She is a big fan of baby animals as evident when she laughed and cried non-stop for an hour when her horse Epona had a baby. If there’s one thing she hates more than loose clothes, it’s those who would openly abuse horses. The most likely to scoff at a lame joke.
• Abilities: As a ½ mermaid, Naomi enjoys being able to take on her mermaid form within the water, enjoying a good increase to her avoid/dodge rates as a result. However, to do that, she must first dismount her mount. As mentioned above, Naomi is the Green Cavalier between her and Jolene, acting as the faster of the two, so she is able to perform double attacks more often than Jolene. Her Strength & Defense growths however, are about average so she can keep up with Jolene in terms of dishing out and taking on hits. She has a good deal of luck & skill as well, but her magic growth is poor compared to her resistance which is above average. However, Naomi’s class makes her weak to weapons that are anti-cavalry and anti-beast, so she needs to watch out for those. Naomi begins with her sword & lance ranks at E-Rank each compared to her sisters who are a D or higher. Her starting weapons and skills are as follows.
o Slim Sword: A lightweight sword that is easy to use. It has a slightly improved chance to land a critical hit. Has 30 uses.
o Slim Lance: A lightweight lance that is favored by female fighters. It’s easy to wield but has low power. It has a slightly improved chance to land a critical hit. Has 30 uses.
o High Horsepower: Naomi’s Personal Skill. If paired with another cavalier, or a Pegasus Knight, critical rate is boosted 5%.
o Canto: Allows a unit that has not moved its full movement range to move the remaining amount at the end of its turn. Does not activate after attacking or using a staff.
o Discipline: Doubles the amount of weapon experience the user receives.
o Elbow Room: The unit deals +3 damage when fighting in a space with no terrain effects.
