Umbra has lived a life of violence in his youth. Throughout his school years, he has been part of a gang, often sent to rough up people who owes the boss money. He wasn't always successful but still a force to be reckon with. Later on to adulthood, he left the gang with a few others to train them the way of the sword to form a group of assassins for hired called The Scarlet blades.
They refer to their boss, Umbra, as the Crimson Demon.
