My first in the Throwback Series! What a way to start! This is the first EVER commission I ever received of Slash. This actually may be the first picture I ever got commissioned. I was just looking into the fandom and was a member of deviantart. Didnt even know about FA. I had created Slash back in middle school as a character to be a fursona of with a friend of mine. Years later, Slash developed into an OC as opposed to a fursona and I wanted to give him his own look and not one based on me. I gave the artist some freedom as I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for (or doing for that matter) at the time. I was sure of the red eyes, the scar on the left eye and muscular build. This was the outcome. The thing I struggled with the most was how I wanted to describe his hair and it became a constant issue with later iterations. Overall this served as a good base and you can see a ton of changes have been made since! Come back for more in the Throwback Series, including the further evolution of Slash!
