Thanks, sweetness! I've been making myself go practically cross-eyed, trying to get all this stuff done before FC... Heh. Jewelry's all done, art's all finished... Working on tails and display stuff, now. Well, one display item is finished- I really should take a pic of it. I had this mannequin head on a stand that I modified and painted to look like a Na'vi so I can show off some of the Avatar-inspired jewelry I made for the costume geeks. *is a huge costume geek herself*

*smiles so big.... I loved that movie. I actually saw a girl wearing a tail at the mall the other day. I wanted to say something but didn't want to scare the hell out of her.

and my brother-in-law used to peddle in NYC. He did $1 jewelry and told me his secret. People just want to buy themselves something - it makes them feel god, and for a dollar they can afford it. He would get all of his stuff super cheap. It was his hobby so to speak.

Well, I make everything I sell, so asking only a $1 for something wouldn't pay for the time or the materials, but I get what you mean. i get the sea-glass for pretty much free, though- the only cost is the time involved in beach-combing and the gas to get there. I make beads and pendants out of the water-tumbled glass I find. I use stones, too. Some pebbles made lovely little beads.

A tail? A nice thin blue one? *grins- is making four of those*

Oooh, sounds pretty. I remember, back home in Winnipeg, it was a kind of local fashion in the '80's to have a real fox or raccoon tail hanging off your belt. It wasn't a Furry thing, as far as I know, but they did often wear them in back, like a real tail... Hmmm... Mebbe my home city is a little more Furry than I'd thought. Heh.
