Alciyone is one of my Pokemon fan characters. My strategy for any Pokemon game is to obtain an Absol ASAP, train them to use False Swipe, and have a MUCH easier time catching Pokemon. I've been fortunate enough in Pokemon XY and Pokemon Go to have a shiny to match Alciyone.

You and me both have an affinity for Absol! In my old Sapphire game, I had one named Ariana, and she was one of my top Hoenn Officers (rank of Lieutenant Commander if I remember correctly...I have a weird habit of grouping my Pokemon like they're apart of a Star Trek crew, with my top ten as the crew heading the Bridge/Conn). I'm close to catching her again in my AlphaSapphire game. It'll be a bit, though (Norman's kicking my ass).
