I need some facts about Iceland

Iceland is a democratic republic of about 320 thousand people. Its capital is Reykjavik, a city whose name means "Smoking City". It is a volcanic island just south of the Arctic Circle. (Like REALLY close.) It's one of the most politically free and least corrupt countries in the world, as well as being ranked #1 in gender equality last year despite a highly male-dominated history.
