Hey! Just so you're aware, that comment reads very much like you're going to take the design for yourself.... Which definitely is no good. I'm sure that wasn't the intention, but, it just reads that way.

Oh hell no. I don't steal people's characters. But the style and design makes for a good starting point.

The hidden joke is that there'd be zero mistaking my leonine character for this one. He's colored in blues and greens, something more akin to bird coloring than lion coloring! (The reason for it is beyond the scope of the comment).

The short mane, the general build, the expressions, and the style all fit him well, but no, I don't want to just yoink someone else's character and recolor it. That's neither kosher nor creative.

I think it's gotten so synonymous in the Fandom that designs and characters are pretty much one in the same so it's always easy to confuse! Autie always does such a great job with body types and composition!

What I *might* do is work with Autumn to "kitbash" a design, something I take great delight in. We use this as a starting point, then mix, match, and change things up until we come up with a unique design, and run with that. If it's a design I REALLY like and want to use a significant part of (and this may be a case of that), I'll ask the owner of the character's permission - using someone's character without permission is a very, VERY big no-no with me.

Hopefully that helps you feel a little better. I truly am not in the ripoff business.
