We've seen a few of these little guys before. They're called Hadanin, and are kinda like a mix of flying squirrel, bunny and red panda, with a dash of natural affinity towards Hadalen magic, being able to transform themselves as a defensive mechanism.

This one came into Mis'Alia's possession through a series of unfortunate events that eventually led to it being dropped into the tree outside the temple, wounded and terrified. Mis approached and it did the only thing it knew, divebombed her and turned itself into a rock.

Mis looked very odd walking through the courtyard petting and comforting a rock with a tail.. More on that later.
