I have to say just one thing, the first time I played this, I was improvising it, and I would have just posted the improvisation, but I really really messed up two bars near the end. Otherwise, it's completely identical.
Weird how improvisations can do that sometimes.
EDIT: I played it at the composition concert here. People seemed to like it and all, for whatever reason, soooo I changed the recording to the concert recording.

Descending left hand scale passages always make me happy. And a good suspended chord goes very well. It's almost reminiscent of the kinda stuff you hear in anime's, or low budget video games, where there's a poignant moments, and the piano busts-a-move like this.
The latter octave section is my personal favourite though, as an octave junkie.
Also, F#Maj is a personal favourite key of mine. Go figure.

I almost feel like I should be insulted at the "low budget video game" thing, but that's probably not meant to be a dig at it or anything.
Also, I too am a self-confessed octave junkie. Though, it's only ever applied to the left hand in terms of bass; I'm not sure what made me decide to do octaves in the melody.
And yeah, F# is a great major key, and I don't know why. I think it's the scale I have the worst time with the minors, though.

S'rather interesting actually, I love the minor keys. Being a Chopin fan and all does that to you I guess. Perhaps I'll record some more of my favourite pieces by the old Chopin-Board soon.
Also, not trouble!
And no, it wasn't a dig. Some of the best incidental piano melodies are from Anime's like Lucky Star, or video games that don#t have the money for fully scored orchestral works/Garritan.
Plus, as a prospective music major, it's fun to listen to some stuff others have done.
