Yeah, hehe... the "shiny" thing isn't just a gem... it also has magical, powerful properties... that's also a reason why the dragon will accept this offer... BUUUUUT I won't give away too much just yet.

The return of Reptile's native style has mainly two reasons:
First of all, he didn't want to face the dragon in full battle armor or anything that could give him a false impression.
And the other reason... is you. You are a trusted fan for many years and I know how much this design pleases you... and there is no reason NOT TO DO a little "fan service" every now and then... even in a serious artwork.

reptile is one of the characters that made me get into the fandom in the first place back in 2010 when he had that outfit on on the majority of his pictures, hence why i like him and that outfit so much (you might have noticed my own character shares similar traits with reptile at least detail wise even !), so seeing him again with his old outfit always makes me happy :D

Furthermore... you might notice that I've liked the idea of Reptile's tail from Interstellarmachine's artwork so much... that I've used it myself.
The idea that he can sorta put the tail down... to look relaxed or to put some weight on it... yeah, I have never drawn that before so it was a new thing.

This is amazing. The attire and the way he's drawn reminds me to the very first comics I started reading on your website, around the Circle of Doom era. It really makes me happy every time I see you're still going forward with your world and characters.

Yes... even after 23 years I am still doing this... and I am not tired yet.
Though... it is hard to get cool ideas and to find time for a project like this.
In the end I'm always happy that there are so many people who enjoy my stories and art... and that's also a reason to continue.
