Wow, first her manager, and now Adel pushing her away. And to be fair, I think Peki actually loves Adel, and when Adel said she prefers girls like Muko that really hurt. You can see it in the Strip club.

This show some aspect of the evolving relation between the two. And give lot of info.
They are not as young as they were, ten plus year in the business leave a mark, their champinship is kept more about sort of "political" manouver than actual skills, Adelgund had become way too much comfortable in this "role" becoming unaware of the stress Peki is undergoing on many level. And Peki soul had become to rot and crumple piece by piece.

WHAT THE...!? Peki was getting hurt! She was getting all bruised and bloody by the opponents! And Adel is no concern for what happened to her friend while going on over winning the matches!?!

Indeed. I don't know what to think of that. It's still bad Peki joined Shun and became a traitor. But Adel keeps getting worse in each flashback. First she lets this stereotypical "make Peki a prisoner because she's a wild" pass on by cause "It's all part of the show/" Now she is being cold to her friend's injuries (which, as you are correct, are eerily similar to Muko's injuries from Nyarai). Instead the dog is telling her to suck it in, and she is using the penguin's injuries as a way to keep her championship over disqualified matches. All of the sudden Adel isn't as much as a paragon of justice as she seems. Whatever happened to that "pretend to break the egg while being gentle with it" thing? Should anything be done about how the other fighters hurt Peki? Adel is becomeing as bad as Nyarai here.

And good grief!! Earlier I wanted Adel to punch Peki out for her betrayal! I know that Peki is a fictional character as all furry characters are. But I feel sad and ashamed. I feel sorry for the injuries she got badly bruised and bleeding all over from her earlier fights. Talk about Harsher in Hindsight.

I don't think this is the same kind of fake we think of. there is the part of it that is the show. Think like we see in WWE/WWF or any of it like that where the punches are pulled so they don't kill each other. It's a show. But on the other hand from the context we are getting, There is very real fighting in it. Which was why no one wanted to Fight Adelgund cause it was kinda stated she put fighters just out of commission. So in this world it was more like "back yard wrestling." Where people would get very hurt.

Back to the show. Lets look at WWE and think about it. They used to run shows where rey mysterio fought the Big show, And they just let them go at it. It was a one sided fight. the difference in levels was just far to great even for the show to pretend rey's attacks would hurt Big. but big could just one hand rey. Now imagine in the animal world most of the fighters are quick agile where the size diffrence would put some some around 3-5 feet tall or 1-1 2/3 meters tall against people 10-13 feet tall or 3 1/3- 4 1/3 meters it just stops being fight.

Poor Peki. It's clear that her switch to heel has not only caused her to decrease in popularity but it also made her a target for Combagals in matches. Chances are that they were anti-wild or wild who thought bad of Peki for putting a bad image of them. Regardless of who did it, Adelgund's lack of concern is worrying as it was Peki who got her the belt with her advice. It shows that fame has been corrupting her as it sadly happens to most celebrities in the real world.

ok, i know character development, or...maybe....adelgund was supposed to be a villain all the time.....or she really regrets what she did....i must be prepared for the heartbreak.

It's quite a shock for me to see how Adel is shown in these flashbacks. But then everyone else has their own dirty in-the-closet skeletons and flaws as well.

yes, i love that a wrestling comic like this, takes time for this level of character development, something not many "professional" comic writers do today.

all i want is, redemption, adelgund and peki forgive each other and thry to be friends again, keyword is try. the thing is.....the writer might end up turning adelgund into an unredeemable character. so yeah, there's that. again, we must wait and see.

but, i like how the story does the things the right way. not too much drama, and just the right hints at character development....unlike any anime today.....and as such, i hope there aint no leomon tropes around here.....just saying

Good people sometimes ignore signs that seem obvious in hindsight. Keep in mind this part of the story is loosely focused on how Peki interpreted these events.

This doesn't make Adelgund a villain, it makes a fallible heroine who made a dunderheaded mistake. "Just get over it" is something friends say to one another - it's not ideal, but it happens. We ignore friends in pursuit of goals, and even the best of parents ignore their children's feelings at times.

Redemption requires for us to be shown that Adelgund did something stupid. There may still be redemption, there may not be, but I mean, shit, Anakin Skywalker slaughtered children and blew up a planet. Still had his redemption arc. And he was a full blown villain.

Hell, imagine if Anakin's emotional needs were met and acknowledged - both by himself and others. Would he become Darth Vader?

Everyone wants to freak out when characters have flaws when most of 'em have a chance of doing similar in everyday life. From Adelgund's questioning, I doubt she was even aware of Peki's problems. Hindsight, 2020.

Honestly, the thing that impresses me is I'm getting such a rich narrative from a fanservice comic about smexy ladies beating the crap out of each other.

I LOVE THE EFFORT THE WRITER IS TAKING to give us likeable, and "real" characters on a comic that should be "girls show t and a all the time"

I LOVE ADELGUND HAVING FLAWS. and yes, i am very sure she didn't mean to hurt peki. but, she did, and that makes it more emotional and likeable, and makes us readers wish that they can overcome their past, learn from it and be friends again. but yeah, it will take time. and a huge effort from both, which translates into a very good story to read. adelgund has been established as a not very smart character, not stupid, but, blunt when it comes to emotions and interactions. so yeah. she has a lot to learn, and peki might be her biggest mistake on that area, one that she can ammend for.

and man....adelgund is becoming the rocket raccoon of this comic....you know, mcu's rocket is the most developed character there. he has a complete story arc, and he grows and developes as character, in ways no other mcu character did, so yeah....adelgund will become a fan favorite character, if her development continues as smoothly as it is now, cus, WE LOVE REDDEMED VILLAINS. as much as we love to hate evil villains.

Indeed. As bad as the characters' flaws tend to be, they do make the characters themselves more interesting and deep. Having your characters develop is an important ingredient to making your fictional story great.

Agree with your thoughts on this turn in the plot. Abel isn't a villain, despite her flaws in how she reacts to things. Much like a certain lady rabbit. Perhaps, yes there can be room for Adel to see that everything she did since was wring and she could redeem herself, and maybe Peki could do the same with joining Shun's side perhaps. Similarly I hold out the hope that Muko could overcome her past mistakes and falws, and then and be a better and stronger. I in fact hope for the best for all of the heroines in the comic, No matter hoe far they had fallen from grace, they can look up for redemption, forgiveness, the will to improve and start over.

And yeah, that's Furry fight Chronicles for you. I am likewise in awe over the rich character development and worldbuilding with the sexy fanservice going on here and there.

It is also kinda obvious that Adelgund has become a "company woman". With little in the way of regard or limits, if the company says "do" she will do it. If the Company says "strip Peki butt naked and merciless beat her for an hour in the ring", you could lay sound bets Adelgund would do it.

A Lot of pro-wrestlers literally can not show their faces in public because of things they have done "for the company".
