Mr. Nice Mouse also had his romantic side, as well. Here he is trying to get a date with Osamu Tezuka's Hi no Tori (a/k/a The Phoenix). Good luck with that, Naisu Mausu-san!

Cool. Is there an emulator for that one?
If you haven't seen it, check out the new Astro Boy animated feature (it might still be playing at your local second-run theaters). It's a so-so film, but a reasonably faithful adaptation of the original story. And many of Tezuka's "stock" characters show up (including Nathan "Timon" Lane as Hamegg -- perfect casting, IMHO).

I saw that movie... well, not on opening night, 'cause nobody in my apartment wanted to go with me, but I did end up seeing it. I'll admit that it seemed way too rushed as far as potential story awesomeness, and the vaporised-in-experiment thing seemed to lose the whole "random tragedy" aspect that I found profound. Everything tied together a little too neatly. Then again, I have odd tastes in how I prefer stories to deliver, y'know?
And yes, that game is easily emulated, which is good since I gather the newer Nintendo DS hardware isn't running proper GBA games anymore.

That was pretty much my take on the movie. But, still, I had to give the producers credit for sticking pretty close to the source material.
Speaking of the Phoenix, there was a recent D2V miniseries based on some of Tezuka's Hi no Tori books. Its out in English and definitely worth renting/viewing.
