In class work today, first time painting in oils, ever. I don't hate them as much as I thought I would, I guess the last time I touched them they were... altered or something, i remember them being super translucent and blendy. They must have had thickener in it or something. These were fine, I like them a lot more than acrylics, but less than watercolors. Cleanup is awful though.

oil paiting is a very beautiful technique, but so very hard to master.. and not so fun to do for it's cleanup indeed.. One way to make oil paints less translucent is to use painter's medium, but you probably know that.
