Behold, the elusive ratyawn.
I couldn't resist sharing. This is Quistis, my mink dumbo. She is also known as "Crazyrat" because she never stops moving and has no sense of fear.

Yeah...My bad experience with rodents and chisel teeth just comes from my old hamster..x.x I'd just finished eating a burrito and apperently she found that scent to be appealng, because she tried to eat my index finger, then it got so badly infected it swelled to the size of my thumb and since my biological parents were geniuses I treated it myself..x3 Probably the most painful experience of my life.
Ever since then, I've had a fear of holding rodents, even though I had nice hamsters before that and I find rodents to be extremely cute. o.o;;

Awww, that's so cute! Gosh, the good old days when I had bunches of small pets, like mice and hamsters and gerbils... and definitely never to forget my rat Snowball! She was a clever dame! Whenever I had something tasty on my fingers, she'd grab my hand, or at least my finger, in her little paws and lick off whatever was on my finger, without nipping me once =^_^=
She's one of the strangest rats I've ever owned. She's a bundle of energy and runs on the wheel so hard it bangs loud enough to be heard across the house. She is wiggly and hyper and adores my husband (who picked her out), but if you fill up the sink and start giving her a bath which is the one place all the other rats freak out... She goes completely calm and enjoys it.
Plus I love her color. The photo does not do it justice. It's a beautiful warm gray with glossy flecks of brown. I've never had a rat quite like her before. They're all unique, mind you. But some are more unique than others.

Never would have guessed ;)
The coat types vary. I have one that is fluffy like a cotton ball. One with glossy smooth fur. One with thick short hair. And I have one gray girl with the softest velvet fur I've ever felt. I could nuzzle her all day. The nice thing is that the softest rat is also the one that loves being petted the most. She goes limp, and if you have her on your shoulder she'll lean against your cheek as you pet her back. Oooh, and she LOVES beards. She'll groom Scott's face and nuzzle against his whiskers all day.
