Time to kill two birds with one stone! Not only did this image give me a chance to knock of some of my drawing rust, it also let me re-sharpen my animation abilities. That is a win-win in my book! Here we have Sonic, being his cheeky classic self, within a character select screen as he awaits you to choose him and send him off on an adventure. He knows you’ll pick him. You ALWAYS pick him. Stop wasting his/your time and pick him already. Join the Hedgehog master race. Don’t resist… Doooo itttttt…
I got to replicate Tyson Hesse’s style that shows strong inspiration from Sonic CD from way back in the day. I already have a little bit of experience in that department, so that didn’t prove to be all that challenging. The end result comes out as a beautiful homage to Sonic’s past. How can you not love this little guy?
Unfortunately, this pic makes me even more hype for Sonic Mania (it comes out in a couple days guys!) so the wait will be even more agonizing. Oh, well, ya gotta take the good with the bad. This was a fun piece to knock out and I hope you all enjoyed it. I’ve got some more pics coming your way so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for that.
