Hmm, not really, it depends on the sign and where it goes. These guys are featured on displays that are featured next the registers. I have been following the advice of the other sign artist with coloring, shading, and what to put on the sign. Markers and liquid markers/gel pens are the main mediums used, and I really haven't had much experience with markers, so it's a challenging learning experience for me. I do welcome it, though.
huh, the look of the tj's signs is consistent enough that i always kinda figured there were a few pages somewhere saying "this is what they should look like". these are definitely in the tj's house style.
learning experiences are always good, they make you stretch, and it shows up in your other work too.

There are no separate employee book for sign artists, although the product signs usually have two bullet points about the product, and you should leave the lower right hand corner devoid of text so you can put the barcode and current price there. But it seems that the signs are open to the artist's styles.
