Notes: this is one of my favourite mediums i don't work enough in. Freehanded no preliminary sketch just grab the brush pen or brush and go. if you screw up well then damn you got a ugly lantern no one will want but they sure do burn pretty! this one was done at Tekkoshocon while i sat on artist alley

yes they are. Beautiful but fragile. Unfrotunatly the ones made with silk or nylon are strong but in the case of silk friggen hugely expepnsive and in the case of Nylon damn hard to find a transluscent paint to work on them with. Though i am experimenting with waterproofing with will at least make them stronger under humid conditions. Luckily they do collapes completely flat for storage and shipping. :)
