Feeling re-inspire to draw TDC art once more, decided to remake some of my old and favorite Dark Crystal OCs Skeksis and Mystics I did many years ago, starting with the Minister skekAyon.
This is something of a re-imagining/remake of my old fan arts: skekAyion the Chancellor https://www.deviantart.com/geargade.....llor-137059207 as well skekSehl the Adviser https://www.deviantart.com/geargade.....iser-170609845
Bio:
Divided self of the UrSkek AyonZhon and Counterpart of urZhon the Scholar.
skekAyon was a skill Orator and notorious pompous Skeksis spy, who consider himself as the most knowledgeable and educated in the Court. He was the Superior and political rival of the Chamberlain, and briefly was next in line to the throne.
When the Empire was form he acted as the Emissary and Ambassador to the other races in the Emperor's name, convincing them to join and serve the reign of the Skeksis in a unity of friendship using his Orator skills. His successes lead to his promotion as Minister ages later once the grasp of the Skeksis rule cover all over Thra, standing at the side of the Emperor at all time, much to detriment of the Chamberlain.
The Minister acted as both Chief of Staff and the Secretary of State, and he was the first to welcome the Dignitaries of the other Races visiting before leading them to the Emperor. He was the Emperor's eyes and ears through the castle, spying on both his fellow Skeksis and Dignitaries alike for signs of insurrection. For ages he and the Chamberlain maintained a game of wits for the Emperor's favor, but the always pompous Minister came on top.
His downfall came at the hands of his favorite thing, enjoying a glass of his favorite Whine, when skekAyon suddenly began to cough and convulse and realizing the dirty hand played on him, he Bellowed skekSil's name loudly, which echo through the hallways, before falling dead and crumbling into dust. Most of the Skeksis knew it was the Chamberlain's doing, and while they hated him, they were glad the Emperor's pompous spy was gone and didn't rat him to the Emperor, as an act of returning the favor to him, albeit begrudgingly.
One less Skeksis to share the revitalizing glow of the Crystal, the Ritual Master retort. His death allowed the Chamberlain to retake his old place as next in line to the throne in the eventuality of the Emperor's death.
