Yay for bothering with landscapes again but I can't take my fingers off the tablet pen and the will to practice. x)
This time, I decided to take myself more time for a landscape painting before I try myself out with speedpaintings again. I wanted to create something decent and more visible.
Myre is approaching a city that has the one and very last relict of a time before the landscapes have turned dry and meager. This is the very last living and biggest tree in their world. I'm not talking about a small tree on top of a rock,. This thing is frigging huge and that was what I was trying to achieve with this painting. Embedded in a mountainy landscape, many species have settled there and started moving, creating a monstrous city which has been dug into the deep.
The tree and the citicens live off each other and it shall last for a very long time.

and added the most important element from here: [link]
I'm a little more pleased about my landscape skills. I'm optimistic about it. Thanks so much for looking by! <3
Photoshop CS2, 11 hours nonstop (yeah I'm crazy)

As long as they're not the insanely retarded, go back to the computer terminal for the umpteenth time because some idiot messed up the clue and you have no other way of knowing if the right door is open without going through six different screens, kind of point and click.
I like using my brain, I like pretzel puzzles, I don't like trying to do kamasutra while programming a VCR blindfolded on top of Mount Everest with no oxygen. XD
But yes, art, PaC, awesome.

If it's as difficult as my horrid above analogy, it's just irritating. If it's too simple, well, if it has *that good* of a story line, I'll play it anyhow. But yeah, you need a really nice mixture for a point and click.
I really love the Submachine series online myself. Beautifully done.

I have Culpa Innata, I wasn't able to really get into it. I can't remember why though. I've been playing my hand at The Immortals of Terra. Only a few hours though. If you haven't played it, I'll let you know where I get to. XD I really miss the old Indiana Jones games myself. For all their halty, slow, graphically challenged goodness, they were immensely awesome.
As for Submachine. They're all free online. You should definitely play them. More along the lines of 'escape the room' point and click, but SO much more, and not just rooms, but, you know..

I'm pretty sure this is all of the Submachine games. Start with the first as there is a storyline. And if you click on one of the star links, at the top right of the flash it lists links to other stuff the maker has done. If you get around to it, let me know what you think. ;p

Oh God, I love your backgrounds. They have this 'solid' look, yet they don't loose that lovely 'paintery' feel. I'd smother this image with love, alas, my screen wouldn't survive it, I'm afraid. I shall love it from a reasonable distance, then.
And 11 hours non-stop, woman...+200 respect points for you!
