Did you tell the maker about any issues you had?
Yes, I had some problems with the jaw design, which she fixed; also, the feet were too tight and she fixed that too; the vision was too limited, so she added mesh under the eye to provide much better vision; the claws on the feet were too long initially and would catch on things, so she shortened them. All these mods were done for no additional charge.

Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
The head was built around a baseball cap base and includes a battery-powered fan. It is comfortable; the jaw took a little time to figure out, but it works well.

Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
I LOVE the head. I love how the eyes came out; the way they are designed they seem to follow you wherever you look. I love how she added the grey fur because I'm a greymuzzle. I get compliments all the time!

Special Attachments and Features
Please describe how satisfied you are with any extra features your head has.
Battery-powered fan in head works well and a pocket is provided to stash the battery out of the way and it holds the battery snugly. The jaw, which was initially separate from the head, is now attached. The maker adapted a Halloween sumo costume to create the padding. Because it is a store-bought costume (the sumo costume) that wasn't designed for a lot of wear, I have had to patch up tears from time to time. The suit includes polystyrene claws on feet and hands that look amazing.

Wear Satisfaction
Please describe how it is to wear this piece of your costume.
Other than the sumo suit padding she bought elsewhere, this is a high-quality suit. The fur and stitching are extremely well-done, and none of the stitching has separated or unraveled after much use. The foot padding looks terrific and is extremely durable. Eyes, teeth, claws, etc. are all high quality as well.

Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume piece looks from the outside.
I get compliments all the time on my fursuit because (IMO) it is the best bearsuit out there. The inspiration came from Disney's Country Bears, and Beastcub delivered a perfect adaptation that doesn't imitate the Country Bears but employs that style and feel I was going for. I love how the zipper in front is completely hidden by the fur, how she provided a neck ruff to also hide skin, and she created extra-long forepaws to prevent any arm from showing, as well as cuffs around the ankles. No sign of human on THIS fursuit!

The feet were built around my shoes, so they fit perfectly; the forepaws were built around a pair of my gloves and also fit well.

Appearance Satisfaction
Please describe how satisfied you are with how your costume pieces look from the outside.
I adore the foot padding, which looks amazing and is made of a tough material that I can walk outside on and not worry about tears or breaks; love the claws, which are very in tune with a real grizzly's.

How well does everything fit together and match up?
Excellent. Fur blends well, and some airbrushing adds depth and realism to the furry pelt.


How easy was it to initially contact the maker for a quote?
Pretty easy to contact her through her website.


How satisfied are you with the response time from the maker?
How long did it take the maker to get back to you?
Satisfied. While the suit took some time to build, Beastcub is much in demand and she kept me posted on her progress along the way, showing me photos of things she had completed first, such as the head.


How satisfied are you with the professionalism and customer service and of the maker?
Beastcub is very professional. She does quality work and keeps communication open with her customers. Highly recommended.


How satisfied are you with how long your project took to complete?
Well, naturally I was anxious to get it done quickly, but I realize I had to wait in the queue. Given all the work on her table, she completed the very big project in well under a year, so I was satisfied with that.


Are you happy with the product you received?
Extremely happy. Beastcub makes top-quality suits.


Describe your overall experience with this maker.
As noted above, Beastcub is a pro in every sense of the word. She does a quality job, keeps communication open with her customers (no hiding or excuses), and if there is a problem she fixed it at no extra charge if it was a problem with the original result (if you ask for enhancements later, then there would be a charge, of course).
