The completed piece of Peanutz starring Charlie Brown and Marcie. I did away with the stop watch that I had Marcie holding and replaced it with a sheet of paper, directed Charlie's eyes upward in panel 3 and added books on the table.
Will Charlie Brown pass the test? We'll see....:)

Firstly, I think you did a wonderful job artisticly. I can't and won't complain about that... but I think you have the characters off a bit.
No way would Marcie be alone with Charlie. She values her friendship with Peppermint Patty too much to cause suspicion from Ms. Love Lorn like that. The only way that would have happened is if Patty had been there, too.
... and I think she is looking way too coy in the last panel... but maybe I just am reading into things...
I think it would have been more traditional to have Linus or Schroeder (Wow, that's in the Spell Checker?) tutor Charlie.
...
Well, none the less, I wish you the best of luck on the comics. I am sure you've got plans.

I love how you did what you felt was right for the characters.
I had a small idea for a another comic of yours but if you don't use it it's okay with me. The idea came to me when I saw Sally's character designs. The image of her on Charlie's back after taking a few spills trying to roller blade got my thought track going and gave me this idea. I can see the Little Red Haired Girl sitting in a resturant or in a coffee shop when she happens to glance out the window to see Charlie carrying Sally home in that small scene. Then I see her smiling as she watches them go by and saying to herself, "Charlie Brown, you haven't changed one bit," as an allusion that she always knew who Charlie was and that she may reciprocate his feelings. If you want to use this concept in any of your comics then I'm glad I helped but if not, it's okay by me because it's your work and I don't want to butt in.

Hadn't really thought about it much until I saw this drawing, but Charlie Brown would probably end up with a jock's bod later in life. Sure, he's terrible at sports, but that's all he ever devotes any time to, and his body will show it eventually, so yeah, at least he'll have that.
