Just felt like going on a lil nostalgia run with my middle school-hood speedy hedgehog. This took a whooping 4 days to finish and I’m tired. But, I’m actually kinda happy how well this piece turned out. I don’t usually draw complex backgrounds very often, but they are a decent practice to learn about composition and perspective placements.

While I waited for the speedpaint to upload, got a chance to play Sonic Adventure 1 for the first time. Actually can’t believe how kinda simple and easy it is compared to the later games, there are no boost to win strategies, doesn’t punish you for trying to process what’s around you, and you only die when it’s your own fault (usually with the semi slippery controls, precise platforming, and somewhat sucky camera angles). Overall it’s just straight up about the adventure and fun.
