Being that size is awesome because it gives you a major advantage in the areas of intimidation in the ring as well as making certain moves look even stronger due to strength and height. Down side of course is that if you're just throwing it around you can end up seriously injuring someone. This is a nice little backstory on these two
As i saidnis a rollercoaster, and damn if this is good. Adelgund is a deeper character with a softer nicer side and damn this make the betrayal of Peki hurt even more than Nyarais. Because Nyarai was abitch and the friendship was just a Muko's delusion, but here Peki was actually nice and friendly, what existed between her and Adelgund was genuine!
And this made me wonder, why so many cool, nice girls accept to work for an asshole like Shun? I am curious and yet a bit scared of what the actual social power of that guy could be.

True. And again as Fez said, the "friendship" was a pure creation of Muko's dippy imagination. It never exicted. Muko thought Nyarai was her friend due to becoming her combagal partner. But she was wrong. Nyarai had no intention to be friends with Muko or Cookie. She only joined Cookie and Muko so she can act as Shun's spy/tool of destruction against the two
I do appreciate this. we're starting to get more depth of Adel, a well as Peki. We are getting to know and understand these two better It a great sign that they are more regulars to the cast now as well. Adel can be nice and gentle despite being masculine and overly strong. I want to hug her. Peki was right that she looks attractive despite being the least feminine female character in the whole webcomic. Those two were not just a wrestling team but they were great frinds. (Oh why did you betray Adel, Peki?)
So, yeah, Peki was nice, sweet and friendly, similar to how The Cyclone Crushers are. That leaves only Nyarai and Shun on the opposing side with complete mean evil streaks in them. How could again Shun entice all these good awesome ladies to come over to his side in the first place? Why

I think Adel saw something of herself in Muko... the aspiring combagal who didn't really understand how it was supposed to work, but was open to learning. Nyarai on the other hand... she broke the golden rule that Peki is trying to teach here. Which makes me wonder why Peki thinks it okay to actually hurt others now.
Indeed. it's strange that Peki is teaching Adel in the this flashback that there shouldn't be any actual injuries in wrestling and you have to win over your opponents with respect to them and their well being. So you have to wonder why didn't Peki do anything about how These rules were being violated by Nyarai when she was smashing Muko into sobbing, injured pulp. What was that penguin thinking during that moment?
Back to Adel, now... yes, now that you mention it, this sad flashback does show surprisingly how she was at one point similar to Muko. Both started out with the desire to be combagals. But they both ran into trouble due not understanding how the sport is played. Muko had no knowledge of actual fighting and had a ditzy sugar-coated vision of grouping sexy looking girls in the ring. Adel, it seems, had no control over her stregnth and fighting skill around other combagals. She did not yet understand the art of kayfabe, rather different from what she was like with her fight with Muko.

Ah, so was Adel in a flashback years earlier going on about she couldn't get in the past get any new combagal gigs and worried about how un-feminine she looks. Poor sad Adel. Being at a rather rough point in this part of her life.... I never knew she had any sort of career problems prior to all this.
I am amazed by the wise advise past-era Peki gave to past-era Adel, and how sweet she was on this page. Couldn't help but reflect in a strange way that the talk about how you have to fight in a way to not hurt the opponents.

Oof. Deep diving into their history i see. Should be interesting!
Minor comic criticism:
I lack a time reference for how long ago 1991 is within the FFC universe.
In what year does the story take place? I can't recall a present date being thoroughly established nor the importance of the year.
Might be something to keep in mind as dates and years are easy to fall by the wayside and forget in comics. Hence why many instead use vaguer (Years ago) and possibly mention a month rather than mention a specific year.

So this happened a year before I was born . Also good flashback detailing their origins. I guess Adelgund wasn't always the perfect champion. I like the fact that Peki points that it's not her looks that puts off the audience but her fighting style being too brutal for the wrestlers she fights. In a way, pro-wrestling is more about entertaining others than truly hurting them because truly hurting them would prevent them from fighting again.
