I've been completely derailed as far as Thirteen Ribbons but I'm close to getting back on track (Hooray for consistent metaphors!) In the meantime, I came to the realisation that I've posted very, very little of my music. I haven't created a whole lot in the last couple years, but I suppose there's no harm in dipping into the archives, right?
This piece is far from subtle. It was composed for the selection menu of a limited-release unlicensed Gameboy Advance title which was actually a collection of homebrew games. (I also did the music for one of the games in the collection, but I'll post all of that later on.) My goal was to come up with something unique while incorporating some sense of both unorthodox accomplishment (Nintendo sure wasn't giving this the Seal of Approval!) and the bleepy wonder of early videogames. So... yeah.
Oh, and the composition hasn't been altered from what was on the GBA; the only difference is that the GBA would have mixed it to 32000kHz and then output it at 8-bit resolution. Sigh.
