This is Adrastus (which means "courageous"), a young Greek goat boy who is an "unwilling" follower of the god Hermes. Though a common boy, his heart longed for adventure, and he unexpectedly finds it.

Adrastus grew up as a common farm boy with his family, unaware of certain events that were going on.
While wandering through the nearby forest he came upon a group of pirates who came ashore and were busy plundering a merchant wagon. The pirates saw him and chased after him, afraid he would report them to the local law enforcement.
Adrastus ran into a cave since it was the only cover he could find, but when he walked in he realized this wasn't a normal cave; inside the cave looked like it used to be used as a shrine or alter to the gods. On the alter he saw what seemed to be a pair of ordinary sandals, seeming out of place he went over to examine them, but once he touched them the sandals somehow appeared on him. Adrastus nearly panicked, not knowing what had just happened, but then the pirates came in and had him cornered, but at the same time a ceto (a sea monster) appeared from deeper in the cave and attacked. Adrastus did the only thing that came to mind, run. He ran but was surprised at the speed he ran out, telling him instantly that these must have been something of the gods.
When he returned home his parents were troubled by the turn of events and told them to take the sandals off, but discovered that he couldn't. Without any knowledge of what to do, Adrastus and his father went to visit the local oracle.
The oracle couldn't tell them much, but said that Adrastus had been chosen by the god Hermes for an important task and he would have to leave his home and journey to the city of Athens for his first task. Knowing he didn't have a choice, Adrastus prepared for his adventure.


Overall I'm happy with how this turned out, had some trouble coming up witha color scheme but this turned out nicely.
