So, this year at
Canfurence, the Guest of Honour was Betsy the Beaver, and I got her to draw in my 'dancing' sketchbook. She does a more cartoony style than some others, but I love seeing different people's takes on Jenora, and this was the fun result.
I also got a model sheet from her in the charity auction, but that will be a while before it's done, obviously.

Hominy crickets, what a sight! Filled with a four-hundred foot tall, barefoot thunderstepping and happy, lovely feline giantess. I don't know if Betsy was trained with the techniques of a professional animator or works in that field, but I could see you like this, in the picture she drew of you, like a still for an animation cel. Perhaps more 'cartoony' that you might often be drawn as, but I would have no trouble recognizing my lovely and tremendous starcat-friend Jenora, loving life and revelling in her prance, and of course likely thoroughly enjoying the feeling of the soft, forest ground beneath her gigantic bare feet.
Done by someone of such fame, whether as the Guest of Honour at this year's CanFurence, or of her obviously and excellent skill and composition of work- along with a reference sheet to come for your lovely feline self- this was quite the treat, I think, and a wonderful gift and souvenir-of-memory to bring home to keep. And thank you for the gift of scanning it in, and sharing it with us all here, dear heart!

I can see from my own experience in drawing this way, that she's done a fair bit of tightening and strong definition of the original line-work, but I like the way you put that: Bluth-ian. ^_^ I don't think any of his films has ever included a gigantic, barefoot feline woman like you, whether or not she was walking through a forest like the one in 'The Secret Of NIMH'. As mental health consumer here in Canada since I was in my teens, as well as an animation fan since I was a squirt (and very fond of that movie in particular), am I allowed the selfish conceit that I love that title and what it means to me? ^_^
But the lovely Lady Betsy really did a stand-up, lovely job on your picture, and I bet you're excited about what her reference sheet for Jenora, to come down the line in a while from now. :)
