Another fun thing to make here at Monoceros Media. This time it's deerskin leather atop alderwood. The leather is cut and engraved directly with the laser, leaving a permanent mark and a lightly charred edge. It's mounted to an alderwood back to keep it flat, then coated with a leather sealant for long lifespan.

This one is a prototype. The artist doing them () will probably do a more ragged/natural looking trim on the leather instead of the straight edges and other little changes for the final production run.
