By week 5 of the 2009-2010 FBA Season, the Huntsville Mayors were undefeated and the Tallahassee Typhoons had a losing record. Still, everyone knew that when rookie point guard Klaus Korber went up against the team coached by his father, the fur would fly. T. Matt Latrans brings the highlights and the thrilling conclusion of this incredible match, as well as a news report on the tragic (and puzzling) death of rookie Icarus Cobra-Dragon.

I actually recorded this waaaaaay back on December 20th. With the holidays and everything, I didn't have time until this weekend to put it together.
I always post on my FA journal when the next podcast recordings are going to be! Is there some other way you'd like me to let you know when they are?

Wow, thanks so much, Paul! This one was a challenge. For one, I had no idea how LONG my script was!!! I feel so stupid for letting it get so long. I even made a point to myself that I had made my last scripts too long, forcing me to cut out several minutes to keep it under 12. So when I wrote this one, I told myself to strip it down, only put in the important stuff, which is why I didn't have much FBA news going on.
And the first cut was 20 minutes long. Before cutaways.
Since I knew there was no WAY I could cut out 8 minutes, I just put it all in as best I could. There were a lot of challenges to this one, like trying to match up the reverb and EQ from some of the recordings, and like all of my podcasts, there was a point when I was thinking this was going to be the worst podcast yet. But again, when it all came together in the end, I was happy with it.

Well... mmmmm. Maybe.
I'm trying to take a break because I want to get started on a special project, but-- if there's enough people interested in another podcast, I might be able to put one together. I have a 3-day weekend coming up, so it would certainly be a good time for me to do it!

1) I've had this image in my head since the podcast of one of the gifts sent to CDub coming with a note saying that that night he "did God's work." n.n
2) I got a kick out of the fact that Sasha got in a 2-handed dunk. For some reason, I just feel like "You go, girl!"

Thanks, Big Z! Really glad this one came out so good. I'm always worried with the long ones!
And yeah, this one got sidetracked pretty hard-- the holidays kept me much busier than I'd expected, what with visiting family and taking care of end-of-year business and stuff. Didn't get nearly as much time to work on this as I wanted. When I sat down to finish this podcast, I really had to sit and crank on it for like 12 hours straight. The long ones take longer to produce, too!

He's not able to play for the FBA during the current season. Next season, he'll be free to sign a contract with any team under his new species designation.
This policy is in place to prevent players from taking advantage of their contracts. A team wouldn't want to spend $1.2m salary on a player to suddenly have that player change into something less valuable and be stuck with him or her. Changing species immediately nullifies an NBA contract.
