EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION:
This is not about political correctness, its my annoyance with artists who can't seem to draw other characters as originally intended. I.E. drawing a chubby character skinny and so forth. It feels lazy and it annoys the crap out of me.
I don't get upset about characters drawn skinny, I get annoyed when people redraw a character the way THEY prefer because it's suits them, regardless ot how the owner originally intended it to look.
I found the face from a meme by "aloevierra". It was fitting.

Iunno how it's preachy but alright. There's nothing wrong with dissent, differences and dialogue breed understanding between human beings. This community is plagued horribly by people who can't handle someone who disagrees with em.
If ya don't agree with my assesment that artists should branch out, and also draw other ppls character's how they are meant to be, that's fine...I guess. Whatever bro.

I saw this on E621, and I figured I'd weigh in with my own opinion on the subject. Gonna copy-paste the comment I made there here.
When I draw a character, any character, I don't think about whether or not I'm "body shaming" them (Why would I? They're fictional characters, they don't exist). And while I try to stay somewhat on-model for characters with a specific body type (Or at least keep certain elements of said body type present), it's secondary to me drawing them in a way that appeals to me and I can feel satisfied with. I'm not gonna let political correctness stifle my creativity.
Second, there's a reason why the "skinny bimbo" with the big breasts, butt and narrow waist is so popular, especially in porn and other art that's meant to titillate. It's because those qualities are widely considered attractive, whereas chubby/fat bodies generally speaking aren't. Of course, I don't speak for everyone, but that's just the impression I have.

Im not talking about disrespecting the characters themselves, I'm talking about the owners of them. I have a friend who I gave a character design I drew, and he ordered some commissions of her, and so many people drew her skinny when she was chubby. It annoyed the hell out of me, like what is it too hard to draw a character as it was originally intended? Its as if the artist is saying "its better like this how I like it". I don't give a crap about political correctness, I give a crap about the owners original intent.
Second yea, I'm aware its "popular". It's also boring, to me at least. Why would I want to spend my entire existence drawing the exact same thing, forever?

It's not fair to chastise (forgive me if that isn't the appropriate word) artists for having a particular interpretation of a character, especially when the style they draw it in is likely most compatible for their audience and market section.
However, after looking through several of your comments (unfortunately including your "Bruh xD" and "get on my level of rationality, puny mortal" comments), this take was partially inspired by a friend commissioning from artists and seemingly (from what the comment read) that said friend didn't bother to look for artists that cater to the chubby style (a style in which I wholeheartedly support, thicc is good, don't get the wrong idea.). To reiterate what I said before, it's unfair to ask an artist to make something that is outside of their field of experience unless they openly invite something like that, it would be like if I asked
msouperstar to draw someone skinny or if I asked
Girokett to draw someone fat/chubby. Artsits draw what they draw because what they are drawing is their field of experience and that's what caters most to their audience/market. I agree with the fact that drawing an OC in a style that is contrast to what was requested in the commission. However, the idea of an artist drawing something in the way they prefer is somehow preposterous and "disrespectful" is something I respectfully disagree with and vehemently reject, as interpretation has forever been a big part of art and creativity.

Eh I've already spoken to several other artists who agree with me and I don't really need vindication from the audience. You're right, art is about expression, and I choose to express this opinion, and stick by it. Maybe you don't agree with it but I'm pretty sure you still don't understand it.
Btw posting the comment here and then again on e6 in an attempt to seek validation won't get you the amount of traffic this brings me. Whether or not ppl agree, it's brought me views. I'm not really expressing horrible controversy here, this is my artistic integrity, and I wasn't seeking validation from non-artists.
I don't expect people to change, and if they don't want to respect my ideas, that's fine. But I refuse to draw something as it was not intended. I'm sure a lot of ppl threw
o-kemono under the bus for thinking this way, but he's got integrity and so do I.

It's rather disingenuous and quite patronizing to assume I was "seeking validation" by commenting on the E6 post and on here. I like for people to respond to things I say because it (sometimes) challenges things that I say and may make me reconsider or even add on to an idea or ideas I have. However, you really failed to clarify your ideas, prove anything I said to be inaccurate/incorrect, and made yourself look bad (depending on how you look at it). On top of that, you assume (based off nothing) that people don't respect your ideas or that they assume you want validation?
I mean, from what I can see, the majority of the anger people take with your statement about people interpreting characters in their own ways is the way you portrayed the message. I can understand and possibly even tentatively agree with the idea that not drawing a character in a form that the owner intended to be so is in some way disrespectful. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from another comment you made, I get the impression that the idea spawned from commissioners not 'respecting' the way a character was intended to be drawn.
I don't have any particular opinions on you, but I am disappointed you responded with such an accusatory and self-victimizing statement that really doesn't make you look like the "higher man".
Absolutely nobody, from what I've seen, thinks that your take is controversial, just that it's either a bad take or just really poorly presented (as evidenced by the reactions).

Seems like a lot of people just don't want to consider anything that goes against the idea of booby bimbo.
However, yeah, sucks when you go to someone for art and there's like, two or three body types that they WILL draw max. People should at least be up front about whether or not they're willing/able to draw a certain body type when you go to them for art. I know I've gone to an artist in the past and even specifically asked if they could draw a curvier gal. In the end I was totally disappointed by the art even after they said they could do it.
The whole, "Well that's my aesthetic" or, "I like doing it that way" is kind of BS when you're taking the work as a commission of someone else's character. At least be up front about the fact that you don't care about something that can be quite important to your commissioner. Often times, these characters are made for a specific reason, that person who's spending money on the commission LIKES them that way or at least WANTS them that way. Same for characters from shows, games, and other media [often with a narrative purpose.], and to disregard that with "well I prefer this" just seems really dismissive of that creator's and character's entire purpose.

I know I’m late to the part here, but I have to keep my eyes out for the same thing when commissioning artists. My character has quite a set of hips with a rear to match and it’s on of the defining characteristics of the character too. I’ve had some I was really excited about who I’ve commissioned only to find out they’ve “normalized” my sona’s shape, or made it more “realistic”. And then I ask to make them larger, either they can’t/aren’t comfortable with or it’ll cost extra cause it’s out of “their norm”. It bothers me when I see artists do the whole “I’ll draw this character MY way, not ‘my style’ mind you because some artist’s style of drawing don’t support certain body shapes and figures. But when they are re clearly able to draw a figure and just don’t, that really bugs me as well.
I can understand when an artist is willing to make the changes, or they aren't comfortable with said sizes. That makes sense, also helps to ask beforehand and look over the gallery to see if they can manage it. But thats just taking a bit of precaution so I don't end up wasting money.
Artists need to follow the reference and not FORGET what they are drawing and go into autopilot though. And like you said, stick with; "Oh I like your character better this way." Which just translates into: "I didn't like your character's design, even though you PAID me for something specific to be drawn, I ignored it cause I can make your character better in my eyes and everything!

Woah...this is uh...a bizarre take for sure. I understand Im super late on this but still
I get that Sticking to one Body type is not optimal in most cases. really it doesn't matter. I would be angry too if some one over sexualised my characters...but with popularity thats sometimes unavoidable ,so most artists just deal with it and dont let it get to them. You obviously are passionate about this, and while I can respect that.... This is were You lose me

....I dont get how you think you can make this a one of the Cornerstone points in your opinion....You Literally Draw Isabelle from animal crossing with with mile wide thighs and even your own fursona is a lucario...Both were characters not made to look like the original artists intended them to be and made in a way to suit your interests....
There is no way you cant think thats at least a little bit hypocritical of you

Ah, valid points, and true in both cases, but both are owned by massive corporations and to say they have any artistic integrity is laughable. To be honest I care a lot more about the feelings of the individual than what some soulless moneymaker does. (Which is also one of the reasons I rarely ever take commissions, because I want to do this for passion, not profit). Not to mention the original creators of both Isabelle and Lucario...hell I don't even know them, they were done up by committees to be commercially appealing, they have no purpose other than to make money.
I would argue it's far different in both cases, but either way I stand by my integrity and my belief. Go look at the gifts that I've made for artists that I like, my gift for Wouhlven and Folly, both are done as close to the origininal as I could because I respect them enough to not draw them like blow up dolls.
If anything, I made this post and keep it up, and stand behind it, because I am tired of the typical shit that goes on in the fandom. When you boil it down it all basically looks the same, there are so many artists of comparable skill who charge vastly different amounts for work, just because they're popular? It makes little sense...I stick by my claims, I draw for me, and I respect the original creator's intentions...unless its to make money, or become "popular"
