Contacts are a mild irritant at first, the bendy ones at least. Glass ones are a very big nono. Uhh... The thicker they are, the more irritating to the eye. The ones I had in feel like NOTHIN' AT ALL after about a minute, and the only vision impairment is a slight white rim about the corners of my vision.
