Now that I’m out of high school, I’ve been looking into colleges around the area and... really, the only one that is convenient for my mother and I is the local community college, WestBridge University. I already got my transcripts from high school and I’m ready to send them in. I just have to go out there and see what else they want documented from me to apply! I’m excited.

Oh man, it’s been a while since I wrote in my journal. I’ve been so busy.
I managed to get my paperwork submitted to WestBridge University and I actually start in the Fall! I can’t wait! Meanwhile, I’ve been getting more competitive in the Super Smash Bros series. I’ve went to local tournaments with fellow fans. I haven’t entered yet. I’m still practicing!!

My mom asked to speak with me. She sat down with me and told me that it’s time for me to step up and get a part-time job to help with bills around the new home. I honestly don’t mind helping. She helped me with the crisis with my dad and during school troubles. I owe her everything. I’m gonna go apply for some fast food places around here. Shouldn’t be too hard to get hired.

I’ve got a call back from King Burger. They are looking for a cashier and a cook. Maybe I could run both? I’ve always loved their food growing up as a kid, so I can’t wait to start! Training starts next week!
Meanwhile, I finally got myself some self-confidence and entered myself in a Super Smash Bros. tournament. I’ve got this! I’m gonna shoot for the moon!

Training day at King Burger! It actually wasn’t that bad! I got to sit down and watch those training videos that are recommended by the managers there. I’ve learned quite a lot of things about cross contamination, sanitizing, the build of the burgers, etc.
And update on college: We start on the 21st this year! I’m really excited. I went online and picked out my classes. I can’t wait to attend West Bridge University!

Fun little Easter Egg(if that's what you want to call it?). The author's first job was Burger King and King Burger is basically the same thing in this universe. Just like Gael, he started work when he was done with high school and he was excited about attending community college.
