Excerpt from the journal of Dante Heartbane, a vampire, age 12:

"As usual, I couldn't get Jabber to shut up but about four hours in, I remembered that furry, cuddly things freak out ghosts. I went up in a tree and pulled a squirrel out of its nest and hid in a bush waiting for Jabber to come along burbling her usual nonsense.

Man, her reaction was priceless. She hasn't spoken to me since, which is a good thing. I hope she'll still go to the dance with me at the end of camp, though."

This started out as a pencil sketch in my new sketchbook. I threw some colours at it in Photoshop.
