Malenga - Lion King character self portrait
Updated self portrait for Eternal as a Lion from the Lion King Universe, now with the CGI movie in cinema.
Eternal, in this shape is named "Malenga" which means "poet" in Swahili (looked it up on the internet dictionary^^)
Malenga is no part of any lion tribe, but wanders free in sulitude. Sometime he visits the bright lands, mostly when huge changes are up to occur. Just as Rafiki, Malenga draws with pigments on stones and treestumps. But Malenga often depicts what was or what could be, while Rafiki portraits "what is".
Malenga often is misstaken for being Scar while far away^^
Drawn by me and inked
colored by Macha

This one is realy beautiful ^^ hour style cloth perfectly with the realistic cgi from the movie and with that I found eternal very misterious under this lion form OwO and yes I underdtand how people can think he is Scar X3 he realy look like him ! . But in any case the color Macha have done on it are aslo great and make the draw even mor alive, but your draw skills are what make this piece unic ^^. Keep the great work dude !
For me they already look well realistic in your style :p As I already said you coukd do a very great illustrator for books and story in fantasy ^^ yiur skill remind me some D&D illustration and sole draw I have see in my childhood I feel so nostalgic when I see your pics >~<
This is probably the one world where if Ivan were thrown into it along with Eternal, and didn't use Energy Sense, he'd easily get away with no detection. The design is very different than most and Ivan could completely dash by even looking at them for a few moments and not even know, ever! Not a bad thing!
I like it, plus you got that position of the headshot right, where the head looks to slightly tuck into the mane! Or..maybe not as the shot intentionally looks different. Might just be the mane that does that.
Wait a minute.....I SPOTTED THAT NECKLACE! It was even in my own picture! I'm curious, did that necklace come from my picture or was it part of Eternal even earlier? Its very easy to hide a necklace like that with the clothes he wears in the various worlds you drew him in!

I think I know what you're talking about.
I'm curious if that necklace came before the picture I requested from you, or if it came during that picture. Because I don't think I've ever really seen it before my picture. And I tend to look at pictures for extended periods of time.

We've seen Eternal in feline form before as a Charr but it's definitely interesting seeing him in a non-anthro feline form which along with other forms like the tree-like form he once appeared in goes to show that there's no limit to the variety of forms he could have. There's always of course those commonalities that make him recognisable though, whether in Malenga's case his mane being reminiscent of the beard he possesses in some of his shapes or the pendant, though the best way we can recognise Eternal is the artist in him whether it's weaving magic or in this case his painting. Hopefully Malenga being occasionally mistaken for Scar from a distance doesn't result in too many bondage-related mishaps but I imagine that's sometimes does occur.
Seeing this image of Eternal, I wonder what he'd appear like as a manticore?
