old stuff I inked today after correcting various errors. Plus it is an experiment to see how digital filled in speech bubbles with the new programms would look like, when I restart to continue my work on my comic again.
The idea behind this pic was a usual some kids get into a fantasy world and save it from an evil menace - plot. Along with the story, I added the "dungeon guard" who takes a liking in the captured heroes and help them escape by letting them tie him up to make it look as if the captive would have overwhelmed him and knocked him down. Well as if three small kids could do such a thing in the first place^^
But the big kind hearted guy´s intentions were pure, even though the plan would be surely uncovered as a conspiracy^^

hehe thanks
I hope you could read my "runes" in those said speech bubbles. For my handwriting sometimes is a bit off^^;
During Castle of Laughter I did all the speech bubbles and dialogues manual. Looking at them now makes me chuckle and headshake^^;
about downloading, I am done with downloading since my last pc died from downloading something a virus was attached to.
So I keep working with my current programms: Windows 7 paint and word 2010

Man, the drawing is so damn cool and also cute x3!! It's such a contrast when big and powerful guys like this one have a soft side to play those things with kids x3! It's very cool x3! I also loved the character, he is really handsome so muscled and also nice hairy chest and beard x3! Loved the way that he was bound and gagged by the kids (they did a very nice job with the knights) XD!
Speaking about the font, would you like to hear some advices? :3c! There is a very good font for comics that is called Anime Ace 2.0 BB, that I do use a lot on my drawings x3! It's very good and is kind a pattern on several comics :3c! You could try this one someday x3!

I think this dungeon guard would be an example of a gentle giant when you consider the size of him in comparison to the children, though like the older orc character in some of your previous drawings also showing that the so-called 'monster' races aren't inherently evil but just individuals as capable of being good and bad as any human, dwarf or elf. Though I think with his size he'd likely be an ogre or troll, perhaps the latter since I do remember in some myths and legends trolls having horns or cow-like tails rather like the one this fellow has.
His broken horn could be a story in itself, perhaps a reminder to him of when he'd been younger and headstrong, maybe a little overconfident in his own size and strength and might have underestimated the prowess of a human warrior, that resulted in him being defeated in battle and the breaking off his horn. Though the human didn't kill him, perhaps seeing a young and reckless troll but whom would now be a little humbler and probably think twice about heeding a warning to back down rather than insisting on a fight. Mercy being shown to him might have been something the troll would never forget, along with a newfound respect for humans and which years later he gets the chance to finally repay.
An alternative could be, that perhaps he's one of the guards at the royal castle and a good friend to all the children and he's off-duty and playing his part in their on-going epic fantasy adventure and this is about the fiftieth time he's been tied up so he's gotten quite the expert on it by now. Though letting the children 'borrow' his knife and key might get him in trouble with his superiors and earn him a spell in the stocks.

With their sheer size, sharp fangs and tufted tails, trolls had a rather bestial appearance that could make them appear rather fiercer than they truly were. It could however be an asset when it came to certain lines of work, a guardsman being able to quell a situation with a good glare or if not with his great strength it was easy enough to subdue most miscreants. A pragmatic troll would also always make sure to carry some rope, useful for tying up said miscreants and would be rather skilled with knots.
Trolls were long lived and relatively slow breeders, children being relatively rare and cherished and that extended to the children of other species. Storytelling was also held in high regard amongst trolls and during the long relatively dull hours of guard duty, one had plenty of time to compose epic tales.
It wasn't surprising then that off duty, you might find a troll guardsman entertaining some children with one such tale, enlivening it with their participation. Ropework was always useful to learn, the key was an old spare one and the knife was old and dull, though the bandana was a fresh one.
The troll admittedly had been feeling in a little need of some rest, having indulged the children with playing the role of the 'big fierce ogre' in their previous game, something which involved a lot of running around and he'd been on a long shift that day. Whether they'd be quite so good at untying the knots was a different matter, though he'd have enough energy for a quick burst of strength if need be to break his bonds.
