I don't really like posting straight-up sketchbook scans most of the time...but given the field guide-esque nature of this one I thought it'd be fine. Inking and coloring wouldn't really add much to it; just unnecessary time consumption.

Anyways, quite a while ago I saw a tumblr post about a briefly-shown background Light Fury that appeared to have slightly longer “ears” and pointier fins than Nubless and some people were speculating if it was a male; between that and the fact that Grimmel immediately recognizes Nubless as a female I decided to make some headcanons on sexual dimorphism in Furies!

Also serves as a bit of a general comparison between Night vs. Light Furies! Also did some doodles on how Night Lights compare to their parents that I might post later if folks are interested o3o
