Indeed! I was a big fan of that show way back when, and I wound up sketching all the cats at one time or another. I think my favorites were Cleo and Hector (I even have model sheets somewhere in my files). I remember doing a lot of Cleo sketches, but I have no idea where most of them are.
One of my few fond memories of the 80s is coming home from college on weekday afternoons, grabbing a late lunch, and watching the Cadillac Cats (who were usually on around 3:30pm, locally).
And as far as I was concerned, they could have dropped Heathcliff and just showed two Cats episodes, instead.

Man, I can imagine them dancing to either the original Motown
song of "Dancing in the Streets" by Martha and the Vandellas,
or the covers performed by either The Grateful Dead or the one
done with Mick Jagger and David Bowie.
Animated, of course.
