So one of Black Rook's first few pawns that wanted in on working under him was a cute German Shepherd by the name of Swain, and Black Rook definitely answered his eagerness in kind, having a bit of fun by blasting liquid rubbery motes to rubberize the shep into his new uniform. As they splattered onto him, the shep grew more mass onto his form, his entire hide had shifted to the familiar black/white/yellow of Rook himself, and the shep became more and more otterish as he was rubberized into a perfect pawn.

Interestingly as Rook kept adding more rubber to him, Swain had amazingly harnessed his nurturing Rubbermancy and started blocking some shots with a materialized shield, and over time it grew and took on Rook's crest, which was a very pleasing surprise to the both of them! While the shield was only around for a short time before needing to cool down for a bit, Rook was more than happy to accept his new Shield Pawn into his crew!
