I figured the first picture of 2010 should be the latest version of Sky (3.5?). After a lot of thought, I made a few key changes to Sky, and more are still on the drawing board...
Some of the visible changes:
-His beak, neck, and forarms are noticable longer.
-Dropped a digit on his wing hands. Making them equal digits to his toes now.
-Wings and feet are undergoing revision, to find out an easier way to draw them.
-Hind legs are shortened, and may be shortened further.
-Tail spade is undergoing redesign into something less awkward.
Some key emotional changes are also necessary, to keep feeling comfortable with him as a default persona.
-I'm not the happy go lucky wyvern I used to be. Happiness seems to be an elusive thing these days, so don't expect me to always be all smiles like in the old days.
-I'm a lot quieter these days. Both in chat, and with postings. Please don't be offended by this, and think it's disinterest. Just because I try to hold my tongue until I have something to contribute, it doesn't mean I'm not interested in a conversation or journal post.
As always, thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated.

heh, nice! I love the new look... I was under the impression you were going for a bigger overhaul! Really liking how your style's been growing too.
Most notably, I love the arm/wing/hand changes ^^ although I dunno about the new snout shape. Looks a bit too stretched but meh, thats just me.

Aww, no more happy Sky? Not even if I wave a box of some delicious chicken stir fry? Or maybe some heavenly pork buns? Ooh, can't forget the delectable sweet and sour pork! *dangles a box of chinese food* :3
Oh dammit, now I want some pork buns. >:I And sushi!
But I must agree with the unhappiness. I'm tempted to make a rather dark and violent image with my dragonself, along with my male alter ego, Derkesthai (who's in my gallery somewhere. The fire dragon). There are reasons behind it. Reasons that I'm hoping will all go away very soon.
Your style almost makes me think of the Natural Dragons (who look more like wyverns from their descriptions) from the book "Dragoncharm." If you haven't read any of these books....well...umm...good luck finding them. ^.-.^; They're VERY rare to find, but a very good read, in my opinion. :)
You definitely have a less cartoony look, more pterodactyl-like streamline looks. This certainly isn't bad thing. And everyone seems to like putting the two clawed wing fingers (thumbs?) for their wyverns (I've done the same for a few of my wyvern species...which haven't been drawn yet. ^.-.^;; )
So far, this is looking very good, I see BIG changes in your development. :D All very impressive.
